This is my 36 Days of Type project. My challenge was to completely transform the alphabet and numbers 0-9 into 36 different desserts while maintaining a sense of unity. To accomplish this I chose five categories to focus on: candy, cookies, ice cream, cake and pie. Since each character has a different color palette, level of detail and textures, the font and dessert theme serve as unifying factors. I’ve included my initial sketches and digital drafts, the final project, close ups of the most detailed characters, and some mockups.
